Minister of Energy and Hydrocarbons delivers opening speech during Madagascar Solar Week 2024

The Solar Week Madagascar 2024 conference and awards, organized by SolarQuarter, took place on June 6, 2024 at the Radisson Tamboho Waterfront Hotel in Antananarivo. The event, which ran from 09:00 to 17:00 East African Time, demonstrated Madagascar’s commitment to the development of renewable energy.

Introductory remarks were delivered by His Excellency Olivier Jean-Baptiste, Minister of Energy and Hydrocarbons. He emphasized the key role of the conference in promoting renewable energy in Madagascar. “The Solar Week Madagascar 2024 conference and awards provide an important platform for stakeholders to collaborate and innovate. The government’s ongoing initiatives and partnerships underline our commitment to moving towards a greener and more sustainable energy future for Madagascar,” HE Olivier said.
