Boyd Gaming welcomes Michael Hartmeier to its Board of Directors

Hartmeier was previously head of investment banking for accommodation, gaming and leisure at Barclays.

Boyd Gaming Corporation announced the appointment of Michael A. Hartmeier to its Board of Directors.

Hartmeier’s career includes highlights such as serving as group head of the accommodation, gaming and leisure investment banking group at Barclays.

Before joining Barclays, he also held similar management positions at Lehman Brothers and Credit Suisse First Boston.

Over his 25-year career, Hartmeier has completed more than $125 billion in financing and consulting engagements.

His work also included working with a number of gaming companies – experiences that he hopes will enable him to become a valuable member of the Boyd Gaming leadership team.

In addition to his new role at Boyd Gaming, Hartmeier also serves on the board of directors of Diamond Rock Hospitality Company, a self-hosted real estate investment trust that manages a portfolio of hotels and resorts throughout the United States.

Moreover, Hartmeier also previously served on the board of Full House Resorts (a regional casino operator), adding another layer of relevant experience to his profile.

Boyd Gaming saw further changes to its leadership team late last year, with several senior management appointments made as part of a strategic reshuffle.

One of those changes was that Steve Thompson – who previously served as vice president of operations in Nevada – took over as CAO.

Additionally, Ted Bogich has been named chief operating officer, having previously served as vice president of operations for the Midwest and Southern regions.
