Kyrgyzstan and Islamic Development Bank discuss renewable energy and infrastructure projects

AKIPRESS.COM – Minister of Economy and Trade Daniyar Amangeldiev and Minister of Finance Almaz Baketaev met on June 6 with the president of the Islamic Development Bank, Muhammad Sulaiman Al Jasser, as part of his visit to the Kyrgyz Republic.

During the meeting, issues related to the country’s socio-economic development, poverty reduction, mortgage loans, renewable energy projects, and the construction of logistics centers were discussed.

Particular attention was paid to the construction of the Kambar-Ata-1 hydroelectric power plant.

Islamic Development Bank expressed interest in renewable energy projects, infrastructure projects and expressed willingness to consider project financing.
