Visalia police lock down area after finding suspicious devices in home

An area in Visalia was closed after suspicious circumstances were reported.

At approximately 2:20 PM on Tuesday afternoon, Visalia Police received a call regarding suspicious circumstances at a home in the 500 block of West Vassar Avenue.

Police say the caller discovered suspicious devices in the home.

After the inspection, the officers confirmed that the devices were secured and did not pose a threat to the public.

The Central Valley Regional Bomb Squad was called in to further inspect and receive the devices

Police are asking residents to “avoid the area.”

They also want to assure residents that there is no threat or cause for concern.
