The departure of management at Hamilton DAC means new appointments to management positions

Specialist re/insurer Hamilton Insurance Group has made changes to the management of its Irish company appointed to run the Hamilton Insurance DAC business following the departure.

Ross Reynolds has been appointed Chief Executive Officer (CEO), subject to regulatory approval, and Matthew Saunders has been appointed CUO on an interim basis.

Reynolds succeeds Fiona Marry, who is leaving the company after almost five years as CEO and Chief Underwriting Officer (CUO).

Reynolds is based in Dublin and will report to Adrian Daws, CEO of Hamilton Global Specialty. Reynolds will also join the Hamilton Insurance DAC board. Saunders will report to Reynolds in his new position.

Reynolds has been with Hamilton since 2014 and joined it during the acquisition of Ironshore Europe DAC in 2019. Most recently at Hamilton he served as Global Head of Operations from 2021 and previously Global Head of FP&A from 2019. Prior to Ironshore, Reynolds started his career at Irish Progressive Services International and then at Zurich Insurance Company. Reynolds is also a member of the Association of Certified Public Accountants.

Daws said: “I am delighted to congratulate Ross on his promotion to CEO of Hamilton Insurance DAC. He brings a wealth of experience and a strong track record of leadership and operational excellence. Having worked closely with Ross, I have full confidence in his ability to lead our Dublin-based team.

“My thanks go to Fiona for her commitment to the industry and whose efforts have been instrumental in the strong foundation of Hamilton Insurance DAC. I wish her all the best in her future endeavors.”
