In the expanded dual role, Mathur will oversee the purchasing and merchandising organization, focusing on the implementation and development of key brands, expanding product range across business zones and creating an exciting customer experience across all channels.

Prior to her role as Chief Fashion Officer at Revolve, Mathur was Chief Merchandising Officer at Intermix from 2020-2023. Previously, she was Shopbop’s women’s purchasing director for four years. Previously, she served in roles such as senior director of global e-commerce, shopping and site merchandising at Michael Kors, head of US merchandising at Yoox and buyer at saks.com.

Mathur, based in New York, continues to report to Michael Mente, co-CEO and principal of Revolve Group, an online retailer based in Los Angeles.

“I am excited to take on the role of Chief Merchandising Officer and leverage Revolve’s existing platform and position in the market to provide our customers with the best and most exciting assortment while providing an unparalleled shopping experience,” said Mathur.

According to Revolve, Mathur will be tasked with supporting the company in the next phase of development by selecting the best products and designers, expanding customer reach and introducing new product collaborations.

As we reported last week, Revolve, an e-commerce company since 2003, is converting its pop-up in the heart of downtown Aspen into a permanent space, maintaining its two-story, 3,000-square-foot layout. The move could signal a big shift in strategy for the online retailer, which has made a name for itself in catering to the hungry clothing appetites of digital-first Gen Z and Millennial customers looking for the latest fashions and labels.

“We are exploring other regions where a physical presence can deliver similar results to our Aspen store as we continue to thoughtfully elevate our brands,” Mente noted last week. “When the time is right, we will open another pop-up or store, or both.”
