Epicor buys KYKLO to increase sales of ERP systems and digital solutions based on artificial intelligence

Epicor announced the acquisition of KYKLO, a leading provider of product information management (PIM) solutions designed to increase sales for manufacturers and distributors. Financial terms of the acquisition were not disclosed.

This acquisition is expected to accelerate Epicor’s vision of AI-powered cognitive enterprise resource planning (ERP). The goal is to transform traditional ERP systems from mere systems of record to systems that deliver actionable insights so that employees can focus on critical, practical, and results-oriented applications of AI.

Steve Murphy, CEO of Epicor, commented: “Our manufacturing, distribution and retail customers increasingly need to connect with more potential customers across a variety of channels, offering relevant and accurate digital experiences that drive brand loyalty and repeat business. Our acquisition of KYKLO aims to equip these companies with the digital capabilities they need to meet the diverse needs of their customers.

Recent years have seen rapid development of digital strategies in B2B sectors to improve shopper experiences, self-service and product discovery capabilities. According to Mordor Intelligence analysis, PIM systems help maintain the consistency and quality of product data by consolidating them into one database. This is considered crucial to ensuring greater customer satisfaction and omnichannel experiences.

The integration of the KYKLO portfolio with the Epicor Commerce offering is intended to enable manufacturers, distributors and retailers to offer end-to-end digital experiences. This improved online product discovery is expected to generate more sales-qualified leads and provide a modern online shopping experience.

Epicor customers will benefit from KYKLO’s capabilities to create, manage and deploy product information such as content, pricing and inventory across channels. KYKLO PIM is described as efficient and scalable, with the ability to integrate with any eCommerce platform. It facilitates the delivery of accurate product content and simplifies data collection to enrich content and streamline the ordering process.

The real-time catalog and content distribution function are another highlight of KYKLO’s offer. This process includes catalog and content creation, which includes searching, editing, filtering, and bulk uploading data via API for real-time updates. Skilled engineers review your content, make any necessary changes, and optimize it for search and SEO before passing it on to your trading partners.

Remi Ducrocq, CEO of KYKLO, said: “In B2B sales, the goal is to reach people, not just companies. Our mission has always been to provide the best eCommerce platforms to help our industry clients create targeted, user-friendly and personalized shopping experiences that fuel their growth and success. We are excited to join Epicor and continue this work.”
