Epicor buys PIM provider Kyklo: it’s more about data

On Wednesday, it said Epicor had acquired Kyklo, a specialist PIM provider focused on manufacturers and distributors.

The ERP provider said Kyklo products will expand Epicor Commerce’s offerings by helping manufacturers, distributors and sellers better discover products, generate more qualified leads and modernize the online shopping experience.

Epicor described Kyklo’s added value as “a catalog and content creation process that includes search, editing and filtering, as well as bulk data uploads using an API to update content and pricing in real time.” It stated that Kyklo’s team of skilled engineers will review the available content; add, correct and restructure missing information or technical attributes; optimize it for search, and then control the quality of the resulting content before sending it to trading partners.
