However, Sam Wilkinson, director of clean energy technologies at S&P Global Commodity Insights, emphasized that clean electricity alone will not be enough. In addition to solar power and energy storage, hydrogen will play a key role in decarbonization, highlighting the need for a differentiated approach to renewable energy to ensure a sustainable and reliable supply.

Innovative and safe renewable technologies are becoming the dominant trend

One of the key topics of the summit were technologies enabling the integration of renewable energy. Jack Gu, vice president of Sungrow and president of PV & Storage BG, agreed with Tang on the growing global confidence in renewable energy and the role of innovation in driving the industry.

Sungrow specializes in examining customer needs and providing reliable assurances on product safety and innovation, especially in the field of utility-scale photovoltaic and energy storage systems with enormous development potential.

At the summit, Sungrow demonstrated a large-scale combustion test of its PowerTitan liquid-cooled energy storage systems. Under the supervision of DNV and live feeds from U.S. fire safety agencies and global energy suppliers, the test confirmed the systems’ superior fire resistance and fire resistance while maintaining structural integrity and preventing fire spread. Three adjacent racks remained intact, setting a new safety standard in the industry.

Distributed solar power and storage are entering a new era

With an increasing focus on renewable energy, distributed photovoltaic and storage systems are experiencing growth and progress. Typically installed on rooftops or near energy consumption points, these systems provide an efficient way to produce and store renewable energy.
