Badish Jindal, National President, ALL INDUSTRIES AND TRADE FORUM,

National Chairman: FASII stated in a press statement:

PSPCL has increased fixed charges for all categories of industries by Rs 5 per KVA.

After an additional tax of 20% on power, this amount will increase to Rs 6 per KVA.

For

Small: R115 to R120 per kVA

Medium: 140R to 145 Kva

Large: Up to 350 Kva (Rs 5 increase in all large categories)

Although consumption charges are subsidized by the government for the withdrawing industry at 5.50 per cent

units, but PSPCL has increased consumption charges for all categories.

Small: Rs 5.67 to Rs 5.62 per unit

Medium: Rs 6.10 to Rs 6.25 per unit

Large from Rs 7.04 per piece

This will increase the amount of state subsidies for industry.

This is contrary to the state government’s manifesto promise of Rs. This will have a bad effect on

Punjab industry.
