Google Strikes Back at AT&T in Broadband Dispute

Google ( GOOG ) has opposed AT&T ( T ) in the ongoing fight over net neutrality, the idea that broadband providers like AT&T should generally treat all online content equally and not discriminate against services that compete with their own offerings. In a letter to the FCC, AT&T filed a complaint alleging that Google Voice, the search giant’s Internet voice service, violates net neutrality principles.

In response, Google said AT&T’s complaint “It just doesn’t fly.” Some experts and net neutrality advocates suggest that the idea of AT&T, a longtime opponent of net neutrality, now complaining about alleged violations is, well, absurd.
