International Industrial Fair – June 19–23 at BMICH

The 2024 International Industrial Fair will be held at BMICH on June 19-23.

This year, organized by the Ministry of Industry and the Industrial Development Board (IDB), will feature local and international industry leaders from 25 industry sectors.

The chief guest of the opening day will be President Ranil Wickremesinghe.

Featuring over 1,300 booths, the exhibition offers a rich collection of experiences designed to inspire, educate and facilitate lively displays of cutting-edge technology, interactive demonstrations and meaningful connections directly with manufacturers.

The aim of organizing this event is to showcase the status and future potential of Sri Lanka’s industrial sector and to envision the strategic success of the exhibition as strengthening entrepreneurship in the Sri Lankan society to open the gate for budding entrepreneurs to enter the global market arena and thereby elevate the country towards a manufacturing economy export-oriented.

Industrialists participating in the exhibition are given the opportunity to share existing knowledge in their sectors to fill technology gaps in local manufacturing and to discuss and identify business sustainment challenges and solutions to address or mitigate them through Business to Business meetings.

Business to Consumer meetings are designed to focus on making customers feel needed and appreciated.

One of the highlights of the 2024 International Industrial Show is the chance to learn from over 25 top industry leaders at industry seminars. These sessions cover topics ranging from emerging trends and innovations to best practices and strategies for success in today’s dynamic marketplace.

Participants can gain constructive ideas and valuable insights that will help them shape their business strategies and push them towards sustainable growth and prosperity.

Highlighting green technologies that promote the use of renewable resources, conserving energy and natural resources, encouraging a healthy and better environment for all forms of life, zero greenhouse gas emissions and minimizing environmental degradation with the theme: “Go Green Industry”, the first International Symposium on The Green Industry Initiative for Sustainable Industrial Development – ​​2024 (“ISGSD 2024”) is also planned in parallel with the International Industrial Fair – 2024.

This is an excellent opportunity for academic communities to present their interests and research results. The best research and case studies will be honored at the International Industrial Fair – 2024 Green Awards.

In a coordinated effort with the upcoming exhibition, the National Vehicle Parade, with over 25 vehicle assemblers taking part, will begin from the Galle Face premises on June 18 and proceed to the BMICH premises. At the same time, the Industry Green Awards ceremony, recognizing sustainable green industries, will coincide with the inaugural international conference promoting a culture of industrial sustainability, known as the Green Industry Initiative for Sustainable Industrial Development, which will be held on June 20 and 21 at BMICH.
