Sunrise Valley and Stobro Construction are merging to expand services in Pennsylvania

LANCASTER, PA — Sunrise Valley Construction and Stobro Construction have announced a merger, joining forces to build more garages and horse stables throughout Pennsylvania. The goal of a unified company is to leverage a larger workforce to improve customer service and workmanship.

John King, chief sales officer and CEO of Sunrise Valley Construction, expressed enthusiasm about the merger. “Our vision is to be known for exceptional customer service and the highest quality of workmanship throughout the Mid-Atlantic region, while empowering our team to be inspiring leaders,” he said.

King founded Sunrise Valley Construction in 2014 after working for his uncle’s construction company, which specialized in pole construction. Similarly, David and Daniel Stoltzfus founded Stobro Construction in 2017, inspired by their experience working for their uncle’s company, SMS Builders. In early 2023, they took over SMS Builders’ client list when their uncle retired.

Both companies faced economic challenges and staff shortages in 2023, which limited their design capabilities. Recognizing their growth potential, the companies decided to merge and solve staffing problems. This partnership creates a four-person field team, enabling the company to serve more clients and complete high-end horse facilities and garage projects.

“We will continue to work to be the company of choice for all types of projects, from simple pole buildings to state-of-the-art horse facilities,” King added.

The merger allows the company to better meet the needs of property owners throughout Pennsylvania by ensuring high standards of quality and service.
