The Prime Minister calls on the judicial sector to support digital transformation

(VOVWORLD) – The Vietnamese party and state clearly recognize national digital transformation as an important political task, an inevitable trend and an objective requirement for the country’s development and defense, said Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh.

Speaking at a conference to introduce effective digital transformation models for the judicial sector in Hanoi on Sunday, Chinh, who is also chairman of the National Digital Transformation Commission, said that building an electronic court has always been identified as one of the key tasks in the entire judicial reform process , and the urgent task of the judicial system is to improve its efficiency.

The conference was organized by the Supreme People’s Court of Hanoi and was connected online to more than 800 people’s courts of all levels across the country.

The Prime Minister asked the judicial sector to pay special attention and continue to support digital transformation, considering it one of the most important and effective tools in all aspects of the People’s Court’s work. The Prime Minister appealed to the judicial sector to improve institutions and mechanisms supporting digital transformation and the construction of electronic courts while ensuring cybersecurity and information security in all situations.

The Prime Minister asked the judicial sector to quickly submit the Law on the Organization of People’s Courts (Amended) and the Code of Civil Procedure (Amended) to the National Assembly for approval, creating a rationale for conducting court proceedings online.
