The Nintendo game emulator is already on the App Store charts

You can now download old game emulators for your iPhone or iPad in the Apple App Store, and the free Delta app is already on the list.

Delta – Game Emulator allows you to play Game Boy Advance, NES, SNES, Nintendo 64, Nintendo DS and Game Boy Color games on iOS devices, which is unlikely to please Nintendo. Delta also allows you to connect your console, create backups, and even use “cheats”. It is available for free on the App Store in Canada, but is banned in the European Union.

As many specialized media outlets point out, you must use Delta ROM files to play games. However, ROM files downloaded from the Internet are illegal, so including an emulator app in the App Store is not very useful unless you have your own ROM builds and DIY game strips, Engadget points out.

Delta can already boast considerable success, although the application has only just been released for free in the App Store. In fact, it ranks second on the list of free entertainment apps. Nintendo has yet to comment on this new viral emulator.

It is worth emphasizing that Delta is not completely new. Its creator, Testut, published the 2019 version as an addition to AltStore, a program used to download independent applications to your devices without going through official stores.
