Australia Post announces the expansion of its next day delivery service to Perth and Adelaide to provide eligible retailers and their customers with a faster, more reliable shopping experience.

The launch of the service comes after recent data showed that 68 percent of online shoppers are likely to abandon their cart if they find the delivery method too slow. Australia Post Metro meets changing consumer needs and helps retailers encourage customers to complete their purchases online.

“We listen to our customers and know they want more choice, simplicity and reliability when ordering online,” says Gary Starr, Australia Post Executive Services general manager for parcels, mail and e-commerce.
“The Australia Post Metro service raises the bar for customers – prioritizing next day delivery in metropolitan areas, allowing us to respond to this demand and get parcels to customers’ doors faster.”
