The new appointment reaffirms its commitment to new energy aspirations and net zero targets.

Global integrated logistics and materials management specialist ASCO has promoted Thuy-Tien​​Le Guen Dang to the newly created senior position of head of new energy and net zero.

This position will play a key role in realizing the company’s ambition to significantly increase its global new energy footprint, while working towards achieving net zero across all its facilities by 2040.

Thuy-Tien, who holds an MBA from Robert Gordon University, joined ASCO five years ago as group marketing and communications manager. In September 2021, she became Group Sustainability and Marketing Manager to drive ASCO’s sustainability goals. Previously, she held various commercial positions, including nine years at Lhoist Western Europe, focusing on new business development in water treatment. Thuy-Tien is also a non-executive director of the Energy Industry Council (EIC).

In his new role, he is responsible for ASCO’s growth leadership in the global new energy market, working with colleagues around the world to ensure continued diversification in energy areas such as wind, clean fuels and CCUS. ASCO aims to increase profitability by 40 percent over the next five years, mainly through new energy sources and territorial expansion. Thuy-Tien will also continue to implement ASCO’s decarbonization roadmap by developing initiatives to achieve net zero greenhouse gas emissions by 2040.

ASCO has enormous opportunities in new energy markets as a key player with proven expertise in project delivery, from logistics consulting to operational delivery and coordination. Thuy-Tien said.
