Get ready for the iPhone 17 Slim as Apple goes on a big diet for future devices – Technology News

After releasing a number of updates during WWDC 2024, Apple appears to be planning to release the thinner iPhone 17 in 2025. Bloomberg reported that the Cupertino-based company plans to change its overall design structure.

As Bloomberg reports, it looks like Apple will return to its old, “slimmer” design. This shift towards thinner gadgets is expected to extend to other products, including the MacBook, perhaps by next year.

What’s the plan?

Previously, Apple focused on creating “slimmer” devices, be it iPhone or Mac. Mark Gurman explained in his latest Power On newsletter that Apple may start rolling out “slimmer” devices with the new iPad Pro.

“Apple’s new iPad Pro sets the stage for thinner iPhones and other devices. “It seemed like over the last few years, Apple was moving away from making devices as thin and light as possible,” Gurman explained.

What more can you expect?

As Bloomberg reports, Gurman claims that “the new iPad Pro, released in April, marked a return to form.” Experts suggest the new device could be thinner without compromising battery life.

It looks like the new proposed model could become a template for a future range of Apple products, such as thinner laptops and watches.

As Bloomberg reports: “The plan is for the latest iPad Pro to be the beginning of a new class of Apple devices that should be the thinnest and lightest products in their categories across the entire tech industry– concluded Gurman.

However, as we look forward to the launch of the proposed device, the question remains whether Apple will continue to provide the same battery life as it currently does with the slimmer version, or whether battery life may decline!
