Dr. Fan Wang, Chief Technology Officer at PETLIBRO

PETLIBRO, the global pet technology company, has named Fan Wang as its newest chief technology officer. Wang brings extensive knowledge to lead PETLIBRO’s ongoing ventures in the pet technology sector, with experience in advancing innovations in artificial intelligence, robotics, data systems and wireless technology. In his new position, Wang will lead the development of artificial intelligence and robotics technologies, assembling a team that will redefine the company’s product portfolio and improve connectivity for both pets and their owners.1

Wellness Pet Company, a pet nutrition company, recently announced the appointment of Allison Giorgio as Chief Marketing Officer. Giorgio arrives with experience in branding and marketing tactics designed to create memorable consumer experiences. Joining the company’s senior leadership team, her role is to represent the consumer’s perspective, providing consistent and optimized touchpoints that deliver exceptional experiences for pet parents.2

PetVivo Holdings Inc, a biomedical device company that manufactures and sells medical devices and therapies for companion animals, expressed its enthusiasm by welcoming April Boyce as its newest vice president of marketing. Boyce’s role at PetVivo is enhanced by her expertise in consumer packaged goods, marketing, sales, strategic partnerships and licensing. Her career spans over two decades and she has made significant contributions in positions at companies such as Procter & Gamble (P&G) and Clorox.3

PetVivo Holdings also includes Bryan Monninger in its welcome festivities. As the new vice president of sales, Monninger will oversee PetVivo’s sales and distribution teams, focusing on expanding market acceptance of Spryng with its OsteoCushion technology. Monninger has over 20 years of sales and marketing experience in senior management roles at Novus International and Lintbells, as well as Fortune 500 companies.4

At Merck Manuals, a publisher of medical information, Laurie Hess became editor-in-chief of the Merck Veterinary Manual. Previously, Hess was the lead exotic animal veterinarian for online pet supply retailer Chewy. Previously, she held the position of Director of Veterinary Medicine at Petco, where she oversaw animal care in over 1,500 stores across the country. Additionally, she was the director of pet health and nutrition at ZuPreem, a manufacturer of food for exotic animals.5

“In my new position, I have the honor of working with nearly 400 outstanding experts in their fields,” Hess said in a press release.5 “Our goal is not only to expand and refine this venerable reference, but also to increase the number of users.”

Hess is a certified avian medicine specialist. That is why her specialization is the care of birds and small exotic animals. She is one of approximately 100 bird specialists worldwide and has appeared as an exotic pet expert on various television and radio programs. Additionally, she obtained a veterinary degree from Tufts University and completed a one-year internship and then a two-year fellowship in avian and exotic animal medicine and surgery at Schwarzman Animal Medical Center (AMC) in New York.5
