Will a thinner iPhone, MacBook Pro, Apple Watch come? Analyst says new solutions are coming : Tech : Tech Times

There is a new rumor circulating behind Apple’s plans for its devices, which claims that they will be thinner than before, and a slimmed down version will be available for the top three technologies. The report stated that it will be used in new MacBook Pros, iPhones and Apple Watches, which will have a thinner form factor compared to previous releases in the future.

It turns out that the inspiration for this size came from Apple’s latest iPad Pro design, which had a thinner, lighter and more compact case last May.

Will a thinner iPhone, MacBook Pro, Apple Watch come?

Bloomberg’s Mark Gurman revealed in his latest PowerOn newsletter that Cupertino will soon produce a thinner case for the iPhone, MacBook Pro and Apple Watch. This will be a new direction for Apple after veering slightly off its design path. Recently, there has been a focus on thicker versions to include improved features and capabilities for each device.

There was an Ultra version of the Apple Watch available. The latest MacBook Pros have also been made thicker to provide greater battery capacity, new ports and more, as has the iPhone, which offered larger batteries and cameras.

However, this will change in future versions of Apple, as Apple will return to focusing on slimming down its devices, making them lighter and thinner.

The size change is coming just like the iPad Pro

This was already possible thanks to the iPad M4 Pro presented in May last year. Due to the significant change in size, Apple now wants to apply it to its other technology.

There may be a possible iPhone 17 in a thinner version, which also applies to the MacBook Pro and Apple Watch, offering a new size standard.

Apple iPad Pro Event

Apple’s “Let Loose” event in May 2024 unveiled its new iPad lineup, focusing on two versions: iPad Pro with an M4 processor and iPad Air with an M2 processor. The iPad Pro received the first M4 version, offering a slimmer form factor, which is a significant change from the last version. However, it was the iPad Air that delivered a significant development with its new 12.9-inch variant.

The iPad Pro’s thinner form factor was one of its most distinctive features in this release, as Apple also provided a complementary, thinner Magic Keyboard. Moreover, the most powerful iPad Pro to date offers a special upgrade option centered on the 1TB option, which also brings a 10-core processor along with a nano-textured frosted glass.

Thanks to the M4 chip, the iPad Pro is currently considered one of the most powerful Apple devices. It also set the standard for the future size of other Cupertino developments. Gurman believes that Apple’s upcoming devices will be thinner, especially with the iPhone 17, MacBook Pro and Apple Watch launching soon to coincide with the launch of the Series X.
