LDC-backed Croud expands US footprint with acquisition of Vert Digital

Croud, a full-service marketing partner, has acquired Vert Digital, an Atlanta-based digital marketing and advertising agency. This transaction represents the fifth acquisition Croud has made with the support of private equity partner LDC.

Vert Digital’s expertise in paid media, creative, CRM and analytics complements Croud’s existing offerings, further deepening and expanding the agency’s U.S. footprint by leveraging its leading technology center and talent pool to the benefit of current and future clients. Croud’s distinct network of over 2,900 on-demand digital marketers in the marketplace will be seamlessly integrated with Vert’s business, offering clients truly global scale and expertise.

Since 2009, Vert Digital has been at the forefront of mobile-first digital agencies, focusing on improving the customer journey and driving tangible business impact for its clients. Led by co-founders Kevin Planovsky and Michael Lentz, the agency’s client list consists of growing mid-market Enterprise brands, including industry leaders such as American Honda Motor Company, First Watch Restaurants and Barco.

Luke Smith, co-founder and global CEO of Croud, said: “The United States is Croud’s most important strategic growth area in the coming years; Our recent organic success highlights this. We’re always looking for ways to complement this growth with acquisitions that enhance this strategy, and Kevin, Michael and the great Vert team have found just that.

“As with all of our acquisitions, we took our time to find the right partner and have been working with Vert for over a year, which has highlighted the passion, drive and focus they have for their customers.
