Shreds.AI runs artificial intelligence capable of generating complex software

Shreds.AI demonstrates the capabilities by regenerating $7 billion worth of WordPress Java code in less than 24 hours. Shreds.AI reduces software development costs and time to market by over 80%.

Shreds.AI, an artificial intelligence capable of generating complex business-grade software from simple descriptions in record time, today announced its official beta launch. Shreds.AI reduces software time to market, team size and costs by over 80% compared to traditional software development methods. It also solves the problem of software obsolescence, increases software lifespan by more than 60% with automatic maintenance, and makes it easier to change software technologies, such as from PHP to Java, from C++ to JavaScript, etc.

Shreds.AI introduces two main innovations:

  • Human-level engineering automation: Shreds.AI is the first artificial intelligence trained to perform tasks traditionally managed by software engineers. Manages large software complexities by making accurate decisions regarding component integration. Unlike current generative AI, which only generates short pieces of code for specific tasks, Shreds.AI can generate tens of thousands of lines and files of code, all with excellent consistency and orchestration.
  • Shreds.AI is more than just artificial intelligence, or meta-AI, artificial intelligence that leverages other artificial intelligence. Shreds.AI integrates with over eight different artificial intelligences, classifying and assigning tasks to each to ensure the highest quality results. Much like Google ranks websites, Shreds.AI analyzes and sorts other AIs, identifying their strengths to maximize their effectiveness in generating code.

Shreds.AI is able to manage and control the generation of complex software while also acting as a meta-AI that creates the best possible code for each component. Shreds.AI also offers a marketplace with a global network of developers, enabling companies to validate AI-generated code at low cost and expand software development and quality assurance teams.

The Shreds.AI workflow is the first to incorporate human review as part of code generation. Shreds.AI has created a bridge between AI and software engineers, enabling collaboration through its marketplace, a space where developers review AI-generated code. Shreds.AI generates code in an isolated and independent way, allowing developers to validate it in the marketplace without having to know the context of the project or company.

Shreds.AI has already gained traction in private beta testing at major billion-dollar companies, including automotive giant Stellantis and RTE (Réseau de Transport d’Électricité), the French electricity transmission system operator.

“We used Shreds.AI to speed up the development process. Even though Shreds.AI was in a very early stage, it showed serious capabilities and allowed us to meet key deadlines,” said Tuan Do Cao, Chief Architect of Cars Opening Systems at Stellantis.

“We used Shreds.AI to successfully generate the firmware and are considering incorporating it into our development workflow to increase speed and efficiency,” said Jérôme Menard, Manager, Datadev at RTE.

Moreover, in another test, Shreds.AI regenerated WordPress code in Java in less than 24 hours, and the code will be published later this week. Considering that Automattic Inc., the parent company of WordPress, is valued at around $7.5 billion, this code has significant value. WordPress powers over 800 million websites. WordPress’ development and evolution has taken years, highlighting Shreds.AI’s impressive ability to replicate such a complex system in an extremely short time.

Benchmark tests show that by regenerating various existing programs, average software that typically costs $1 million to develop can be created for less than $30,000. This reduced cost includes code generation and developer verification in the marketplace. This significant reduction in development expenses makes software more affordable and introduces a new perspective on the role of software in enterprises, promoting innovation and efficiency.

To use Shreds.AI, users purchase Shreds coins, which allow them to generate code. Users enter a simple description of the software they want Shreds.AI to create, and then Shreds.AI generates architectural diagrams and code for independent and isolated functions called shreds. Shreds.AI then allows the user to check the generated shred code on the Shreds.AI public marketplace or internally with the same ease.

To take advantage of the Shreds.AI public marketplace, a user publishes snippets to the Shreds.AI marketplace, where developers can inspect snippets without having to check context. The user receives offers from developers with different experience and skills, and then selects the developer who best matches the qualifications and validation requirements of the clippings. The developer then validates or edits the code if necessary and notifies the user via the marketplace when it is ready. The user then pays the developer through the Shreds.AI public marketplace.

Shreds.AI enables seamless integration into business workflows, allowing users to purchase only the credits needed to generate the code.
