Oak Group announces 24 group-wide promotions

International funds, private client and corporate services provider Oak Group has promoted 11% of colleagues across its offices.

An impressive 11% of associates have achieved promotions or promotions in their current roles, reflecting Oak’s commitment to professional development and recognition for exceptional performance.

This latest round of promotions follows the announcement earlier this year of three leadership appointments at Oak’s Channel Island offices.

Oak’s Group CEO Kim Sgarlata (pictured) said: “I am incredibly proud to witness the advancement of our dedicated team members. Shauna Gallienne, newly promoted manager in Oak’s People & Culture team, said: “These promotions reflect the achievements of our people and Oak’s commitment to supporting our people across all our offices to achieve their goals. Two senior managers, Michael Le Page and Daniel Savident, have been promoted within Oak’s Guernsey Trust team. Michael and Daniel joined Oak in 2016 and 2022, respectively, and have extensive experience as private wealth managers for high-net-worth individuals.

Michael and Daniel have demonstrated strong leadership skills and embody Oak’s customer-centric values.

Gemma Tibbs and Sophie Maindonald have been promoted to senior administrator, Lucy Hamilton to administrator and Cailen Johnson to deputy accountant. Rebecca Gill is expanding her expertise by now serving as Financial Controller.

Nawreen Toraubally and Chloe Aldridge have been promoted to Senior Administrator and Administrator respectively in the Company Secretariat in the Fund Administration department.

Shauna Gallienne becomes people and culture manager and Gina Brehaut becomes office coordinator. Shauna has many years of experience in human resources and recruitment in both Guernsey and the UK. Since joining Oak in 2021, she has been a catalyst for change, engaging in projects that have a direct impact on colleagues, such as wellbeing, team building and charitable engagement across the group.

On the Isle of Man, Alyson Craig was appointed compliance analyst and Diane Crossley developed in her dual role as internal accountant and HR assistant.

Chris Clarke has made progress as Jersey’s chief compliance officer. Chris joined Oak in 2018 and, with his 19 years of compliance experience, also serves as the MLCO and MLRO Compliance Officer.

Mandy McCready is currently a Manager in the Jersey Trust & Corporate team.

Hans Ray Boodhoo Goordeen and Aatish Bhoyroo become manager and team leader respectively in the File Review team in Mauritius, while Mangesh Ramjutton becomes senior compliance manager.

Since joining Oak in 2019, Hans has held the position of Review Officer and Deputy MLRO and currently oversees the review function in the Mauritius, Guernsey and Jersey offices. Hans has a solid academic background and over 15 years of experience in the financial services sector.

Mangesh joined Oak in 2022 and has over 12 years of experience working in the financial services industry, with extensive knowledge of private wealth and international clients.

They are joined by Akhtar Hingun, currently Senior Compliance Analyst, Madisson Rene as Senior Asset Monitoring Analyst, Zainab Bankur as Senior Compliance Analyst, Avanish Boykunt as Senior Accountant, and Selvani Chinnapen and Ishfaaq Hosany became Accountants.
