Home Hardware Stores appoints director of retail operations

Home Appliance Stores Ltd. announced the appointment of John Pierce as director of retail operations. Reporting to Home Hardware Stores Ltd. President and CEO Kevin Macnab, Pierce will oversee field operations, dealer support functions, business development, real estate and construction, store design and space planning, the Home Innovation Center, communications, events and public relations. He will continue to be heavily involved in the formal assessment of potential new Dealers as Home continues to grow.

Pierce is a retail veteran with over 25 years of experience in the national retail environment. He most recently held the position Home Appliance Stores Ltd Vice President of Retail Business Development, where he oversaw business development, real estate and dealer support functions, which was a key factor in the positive dynamics of our business.

Prior to joining Home Hardware, Pierce served as vice president and senior vice president positions at Loblaw Companies, including six years of managing store operations nationally No Frills, i.e. a business model belonging to the operator. He holds bachelor’s degrees from the University of Manitoba and a Master of Business Administration from the University of Manitoba University of Toronto.
