SAE Bengaluru is organizing the conference ‘Moving Forward – Women Shaping Mobility’.

With an aim to recognize women who have achieved success in the mobility sector and provide them with a platform to showcase their achievements, SAE India Bengaluru Chapter is organizing ‘The Shift Forward – Women Shaping Mobility’. One of the keynote speakers at the conference will be Dr. Nigar Shaji, Director of Aditya Mission at ISRO.

The aim of this event is to help women find mentors who will support their career paths and to become mentors for future generations of women in the industry.

SAE India’s Bengaluru section aims to cover various aspects of the mobility sector, including Global Competence Centers, manufacturing and supply chain, traditional business operations in the age of technology, and the challenges and opportunities facing startups. Additionally, the event will explore how regulation and approvals can support industry goals for net neutrality and security. While this year’s program does not delve into specific technologies in detail, it will address artificial intelligence as a game-changer that has the potential to revolutionize business domains and industries, creating numerous opportunities.

According to the Conference’s Management Committee (MC), the ultimate goal is to showcase pioneering women leaders in these fields, sharing their thoughts on leadership to inspire and engage the audience. With support from Nexteer and Volvo as gold sponsors and Continental, Bosch and MathWorks as silver sponsors, MC collaborated with the Society of Women Engineers (SWE). For over seven decades, SWE has provided women engineers with a unique place and voice in the engineering industry while championing the cause of women in engineering. MC’s goal is to bring together women in the mobility sector, using its collaboration with SWE to create a supportive and empowering environment.

The conference also established cooperation with Mobility prospectsa pioneer in identifying women’s potential and celebrating it every day through the Women In Mobility program.

Pradeep Chandrasekaran from Ola Electric Technologies said that ‘The Shift Forward: Women Shaping Mobility’ is a flagship event organized by the SAEINDIA Bangalore chapter. The event aims to recognize the contributions of women, celebrating their successful journeys, the challenges they have faced and the opportunities that have shaped their careers in the industry.

Rakhi Agarwal, senior subsystems manager at Alstom, said: “With this conference, we want to provide a platform for current and future female leaders in the mobility industry to network and learn. We have carefully crafted a program that is designed for a broad audience and features distinguished speakers who will discuss topics such as business and engineering leadership, artificial intelligence, startups, and project and operations management.

In addition to the keynote speeches, the conference will feature several panel discussions and fireside chats.
