TNAU, Coimbatore releases UG admission merit list 2024; four candidates receive the full number of seats

Four candidates secured a perfect score in the final round of admission to UG Agricultural University, Tamil Nadu, scoring a total of 200 marks.

The highest ranked are G. Dhivya, T. Sarmila, KS Maureen and R. Naveena.

Of the top 25 students, eight scored 199.50 points, 10 students achieved the mark of 199 and three students scored 198.50.

Of the 34,000 applications, 27,294 were considered for the overall ranking in the academic (27,294) and professional (1,900) categories.

A total of 2,555 seats in 20 constituent colleges and 2,806 seats in 18 associate colleges are to be filled through the recruitment counseling process. The first round of online counseling will be conducted on June 22-24.

This time, as many as 10,053 candidates applied for 413 seats under the 7.5% quota for students who studied in state government schools, which means that awareness about the program has developed well, Vice-Chancellor V told the media on Wednesday. Geethalakshmi.

Similarly, 234 candidates applied for 20 seats to be filled under the quota of former soldiers, and 701 people applied for 20 seats, she added.

This year, classes for first-year students will begin from September 15, after a field orientation period for students closer to their homes in constituent colleges, affiliated colleges, Krishi vigyan kendras, research stations and centers of excellence, the vice-chancellor said.

As for diploma programs, 2,300 candidates are applying for 1,000 places, said Prof. Geethalakshmi.

Around 10,000 candidates applied for admission to TNAU and Tamil Nadu University, Dr. J. Jayalalithaa Fisheries University.

Recruitment will also be conducted for 320 seats at Annamalai University: 120 seats at the UG Agricultural University in assisted and self-supported streams and 100 seats for the UG Horticulture subsidized program.
