Sungrow iHomeManager debuts in Europe, increasing household income from renewable energy by over 10%

MUNICH, June 20, 2024 /PRNewswire/ — Sungrow, the world’s leading supplier of solar inverters and energy storage systems, has made a landmark announcement with the launch of its newest product, iHomeManager, at Intersolar Europe 2024. This smart home, powered by Sungrow’s cutting-edge artificial intelligence technology, the energy management solution adapts optimal energy strategies for households based on solar energy forecasts and analysis of household energy consumption. By acting as the “smart brain” of homes, it significantly increases renewable energy revenues by 10% or more*.

Increase your renewable energy revenues by over 10% with AI-powered electricity management
iHomeManager leverages Sungrow’s Artificial Intelligence-Based Strategy (AIBS), using advanced algorithms such as deep reinforcement learning, to autonomously analyze household electricity consumption patterns and predict energy demand. By integrating real-time market electricity prices with future 24-hour PV generation forecasts, it intelligently schedules ESS charging and discharging, reducing electricity costs and maximizing revenues.

During periods of abundant solar energy production during the day, iHomeManager takes proactive measures to redirect excess renewable energy to heat pumps, thereby significantly increasing the use of renewable energy resources. Early in the morning during periods of low electricity prices, iHomeManager efficiently charges the Energy Storage System (ESS). It then discharges the stored energy during periods of peak demand and periods of high prices, taking advantage of price fluctuations while efficiently using the remaining optimal state of charge (SOC) to accommodate PV energy. Overall, iHomeManager can increase household renewable energy income by 10% or more.

Moreover, iHomeManager provides advanced 72-hour weather forecast, enabling timely sending of ESS and alerting users to block electricity supply to maintain a fully charged state, thus avoiding inconvenience caused by unexpected power outages or restrictions.

Wireless network support and device connection for 60 years
Compact and lightweight, iHomeManager ensures easy installation. It supports both wired and wireless networks, allowing you to seamlessly connect to the cloud in 60 seconds. Thanks to compatibility with the DI Ripple Control receiver, additional IO expansion is not necessary. It also has a built-in meter, which eliminates the need for additional construction costs and simplifies implementation.

Moreover, iHomeManager offers exceptional compatibility thanks to seamless integration with various devices and charging stations. It complies with the ETSI EN 303 645 security standard and is GDPR certified, guaranteeing product security and data protection at the highest level.

Looking to the future, iHomeManager will integrate energy management with AIoT (Artificial Intelligence of Things) technology, enabling intelligent connectivity between home devices. Users can remotely monitor and manage home energy anytime, anywhere, enjoying the smart and convenient energy use provided by AIoT-enabled renewable energy.

*Note: The data provided is based on measurements carried out in houses equipped with solar energy storage tanks and heat pumps. Actual income may vary due to factors such as household load and energy consumption.
