Apple is releasing a public beta of iOS 17.6, which could be the last update before iOS 18

Apple is rolling out the first public beta of iOS 17.6 alongside macOS 14.6, iPadOS 17.6 and other software updates. iOS 17.6 is said to be the last update to iOS 17 before iOS 18 launches later this year. The iPhone maker released a developer beta of iOS 17.6 last week.

How to install the iOS 17.6 public beta
Public beta testers can install the latest update by going to the Settings app on their device. Then tap the Software Update section and then Beta Updates. Enable the public beta of iOS 17 or iPadOS 17.

New features in iOS 17.6
According to a report by 9to5mac, the “Catch Up” feature in the TV app is the only known new feature in iOS 17.6 so far. This feature is intended for sports viewers. iOS 17.6 is also expected to bring bug fixes to eligible iPhones and other improvements.

In addition to iOS 17.6, Apple has also released public beta updates for iPadOS 17.6, macOS 14.6, watchOS 10.6, and tvOS 17.6.

Meanwhile, Apple has announced a new website aimed at helping people choose the right Mac for themselves. The new Help Me Choose website is now available worldwide. The website does this by asking the user a few questions and ultimately suggesting all the Mac devices that may be suitable for them.

The Help Me Choose website asks users several questions, such as “Tell us what you’ll use your Mac for?”, “What kinds of things do you do at work?”, “And where will you use your Mac?” . The final consideration is budget, based on which Apple’s new website suggests users which Mac device they should buy.
