Oman and Algeria discuss cooperation on renewable energy

Omani Foreign Minister Sayyid Badr Albusaidi and Algerian Foreign Minister Ahmed Attaf co-chaired the eighth session of the Oman-Algeria Joint Committee in Algiers, focusing on strengthening bilateral relations, with particular emphasis on cooperation on renewable energy.

Both nations emphasized the depth of their historical, cultural and social ties, expressing mutual aspirations to take their relations to a new level. They confirmed their satisfaction with the level of political consultation and coordination on regional and international issues of common interest.

During the discussion, Oman and Algeria stressed the importance of strengthening cooperation with regional and international organizations to achieve common interests, especially in the development of renewable energy. They praised the leadership of His Majesty Sultan Haitham bin Tariq Al Said and Algerian President Andelmajdid Tebboune for strengthening cooperation in various sectors.

The talks were complemented by fruitful meetings of representatives of the largest companies and business leaders from both countries, during which investment opportunities were explored and economic ties were strengthened.
