Mentor Group presents a VR tool supporting sales training

Mentor Group has introduced a virtual reality (VR) training solution designed to support the development of key sales skills of its clients.

According to research, VR training has a learning retention rate of 75%, which exceeds the rate achieved with traditional learning methods such as lectures, reading and audio-visual instruction. This increased retention rate is attributed to VR’s ability to offer immersive and experiential learning environments that engage multiple senses and emotions.

The newly introduced technology allows Mentor Group to create fully immersive virtual environments.

These environments enable users to interact and explore possible sales scenarios using Mentor Group’s proprietary wearable headsets, customer headsets, or other compatible devices, including desktops and laptops. The VR training tool provides companies with programs tailored to their specific needs. Users can engage in scenarios, role-plays and problem-solving tasks in a risk-free environment, giving them the opportunity to refine their skills and techniques without the pressure of customer-facing situations.

In addition to its immersive capabilities, the VR solution can be available in 29 languages. It supports synthetic media videos – content generated by artificial intelligence – and includes scenarios that can be “rigged” to increase the impact of training. This technology aims to make the training process more engaging for participants.

James Barton, Solutions Director at Mentor Group, commented on the benefits of the new VR training solution.

“It’s no surprise that companies that have implemented VR technology are seeing benefits that meet or exceed their expectations,” he said.

Barton detailed the innovative nature of the technology, adding: “This innovative technology streamlines the sales process by providing sellers with a more immersive and immersive experience. At Mentor Group, we are driven by the desire to strengthen what we call ‘sustainable selling’. Using our VR solution, we can build real-world scenarios for our clients, helping them achieve consistent and sustainable revenue and return on investment.”

Mentor Group’s latest offering aims to support companies in their efforts to provide their employees with more effective and lasting sales training.

As VR integration in training becomes more common, companies can find new ways to use the technology to more effectively achieve sales goals.
