African farmer launches online agricultural radio, e-commerce platform

In a bid to boost the agricultural sector to revitalize the country’s economy, an online agricultural radio and e-commerce platform has been launched. This initiative is expected to make farming easier for farmers.

The internet radio, from the stables of agricultural promoter, African farmer Mogaji, aims to inspire the sector with knowledge from various professions and careers needed in the private sectors in building the national economy.

Mogaji, who lamented that the sector was facing several challenges, said the private sector would play a major role in encouraging farmers and other players in the sector.

“The idea we are trying to push is that the government supports and funds the agricultural sector, but the private sector does not provide enough resources.

“The government alone cannot achieve everything in this sector. This sector needs people from different professions and careers to help strengthen it even further. Professionals such as engineers, journalists, entertainment professionals, etc. would contribute significantly to the development of the sector, ensuring easy access to and branding of agricultural products, which would be possible with the help of the private sector.”

He noted that the launch of the online radio aims to make it easier for people, especially young people, to express their challenges, understand them and collaborate with experts to overcome these challenges.

“The launch of Agric online radio is all about the Nigerian agricultural space and Agric fm.com will help select and discuss every basic agricultural sector, give young people access to express their challenges and be productive no matter how small they are.

“Agric FM is a neutral sector that can take an idea from print to audio in collaboration with journalists to help the sector.”

He added that in a month, the radio station, intended mainly for Nigerians, will start broadcasting a 24-hour program that will cover other African countries.
