How does the 13-inch Apple iPad Pro 2024 fare? – Thatsmags.com

It was built to be the most important iPad launch since the original.

Before and even after the launch of the new iPad Pro 13-inch – it seems that the new model lives up to expectations and expectations.

The new model is a versatile, truly portable device that boasts many versatile features.

Notably, this is the first time in history that an Apple M-category chip has been launched in the iPad (M4 chip; previously only in iMacs).

The new debut tablet is also Apple’s thinnest device ever, and its screen is arguably the best on the tablet market today.

While there is no doubt that the new version will be popular with the masses, this high-tech device will not be suitable for everyone.

However, we assure you that this will be the best tablet on the market in 2024 purely in terms of specifications.

However, all the noteworthy upgrades also result in a significantly higher price at checkout – the 13-inch model costs a whopping RMB 11,499, while the 11-inch model comes in at a cheaper but still high-quality final price of RMB 8,999.

The price tag undoubtedly means that it will be immediately out of reach for many interested people, especially those looking to purchase the tablet for recreational use only.

The bypass of the M3 chip seen in the MacBook Pro suggests that the new iPad model is not a simple periodic tablet update, but rather an alternative to a modern Mac or desktop computer.

Looking through this lens, the price becomes much more bearable.

For those who are simply looking for something for everyday use at home, the iPad Air 6 may be a more practical choice as it comes with a set of its own unique features, including the Pencil Pro Stylus.

On the other hand, if you’re looking for a durable, thin and light model with much more intense capabilities, look no further than the 13-inch iPad Pro.

The new models are available in 256GB, 512GB, 1TB and 2TB capacities, with the latter two options also coming with 16GB of RAM.

Larger capacity models also have the option of additional nano-textured glass that minimizes glare and reflections – for an additional cost.

Moving on to the design of the new iPad Pro, the ultra-slim case combined with “tandem OLED” technology enables the incredible “Ultra Retina XDR display” and a newly improved graphics processor.

The M4 chip also increased energy efficiency and performance capabilities.

The energy efficiency provided by the M4 allowed Apple to create an ultra-thin and light design.

Its dimensions are 281.6 x 215.5 x 5.1 mm and weight 579 g.

This, according to Apple, makes it the thinnest device the company has ever produced.

Despite having a larger display than the previous iPad model, it is arguably much more portable.

However, the thin device may worry some after the saga that saw the iPhone 6 Plus bend and lose its shape years ago.

However, while users should of course exercise the same care as with any other valuable item, the new iPad Pro is quite solid and durable.

Made from 100% recycled aluminum, this new edition feels sturdy without being too heavy – and it’s eco-friendly.

Two colors are available: silver and space black.

It also comes with four built-in speakers and four separate microphones.

Charging via 4 USB ports and a data transfer speed of 40 GB/s are additional features.

When it comes to cameras, there are both advantages and disadvantages.

First, the good news: the 12MP ultra-wide-angle front camera has been moved to the right side, so it’s at the top of the screen in landscape orientation.

This makes video calls much more useful and also makes it easier to log in with Face ID – and it’s a design upgrade that many iPad enthusiasts have been wanting.

The 12MP rear camera can shoot at up to 4K resolution at 60 frames per second, and Apple is offering several new AI features.

The “LiDAR” camera can also be used for three-dimensional and spatial vision, allowing the iPad to capture real-world objects and overlay virtual objects on top of them using augmented reality.

Tidy!

The downside is that one camera has been removed from the back.

While Apple hasn’t commented on why this change was made, it may be due to a desire for lightweight or cost-saving reasons.

This will likely disappoint some loyal Apple fans.

The display is probably the most exciting aspect of the new 13-inch iPad Pro model.

The new OLED technology provides better contrast and is brighter (1,000 nits) compared to the 2022 model at 600 nits.

The new model also provides much more detail when viewing dark scenes.

The color temperature of the new design is also much warmer than previous models.

Watching movies is a pleasure.

The colors appear bright, vivid and realistic, and provide a fantastic overall visual experience.

Although the screen is slightly larger compared to the previous 12.9-inch model, its higher resolution keeps the pixel density similar to the previous design.

Both the 13- and 11-inch models use the same technology, which means there’s no image quality penalty with the cheaper model.

Overall, the display is probably the best you can find on a tablet in 2024.

It also probably outperforms most laptop equivalents.

The appearance of the brand new M4 chip is a strong signal from Apple: iPad is no longer subservient to the Mac.

It now offers the same, if not more powerful, features and components as the MacBook Pro (M3 chip).

While this may discourage some Mac fans, the result seems worth it – the most powerful tablet on the market.

According to Apple, the M4 chip delivers 20% better thermal efficiency while delivering 4x faster rendering performance than the previous model.

It also offers 50% more CPU performance than the M2 chip.

All the apps we tested on the 13-inch iPad Pro ran incredibly fast, and apart from one crash in some early programs, which was to be expected, the iPad Pro’s performance was solid.

The built-in speakers provided a powerful listening experience, especially considering the iPad’s thinness.

This is a tablet with serious performance capabilities.

Apple promised 10 hours of battery life for both models when using Wi-Fi (nine when using 5G).

However, in testing we achieved just 15 hours using Wi-Fi and over 13 hours using 5G.

This far outperformed its predecessor, which struggled to deliver on Apple’s 10-hour promise.

While this device is certainly not for those on a budget or looking for a tablet for everyday tasks, the 13-inch iPad Pro is a great choice for creative professionals looking for an all-in-one device. , those considering purchasing their next laptop and those who want the most powerful tablet on the market.
