The Zambia Economic Promotion Week has started in Rabat – Medafrica Times

The Zambia Economic Promotion Week was launched in Rabat to showcase Zambia’s economic potential in Morocco in various sectors.

The event program includes meetings in Rabat, Casablanca and Laayoune between the Zambian economic delegation and Moroccan public institutions, private economic entities, the General Confederation of Moroccan Enterprises (CGEM) and sector federations. The aim of these interactions is to develop win-win business partnerships between Moroccan and Zambian companies.

the event includes discussions with the Professional Association of Moroccan Banks (GPBM), Casablanca Finance City (CFC) and its business ecosystem, and the Regional Investment Center (CRI) in Laayoune.

This initiative is part of a broader effort by the Moroccan Ministry of Foreign Affairs to strengthen the country’s economic diplomacy in Africa. The Moroccan Agency for International Cooperation (AMCI), together with partners such as CGEM, GPBM, CFC and the Moroccan Agency for Investment and Development Exports (AMDIE), plays a key role in these endeavors.

AMCI’s statement highlighted the initiative’s goal of supporting joint and mutually beneficial business ventures. The launch included a meeting between AMCI Director General Mohamed Methqal and the influential Zambian delegation that visited Morocco from June 20-28.

The Zambian delegation, led by Albert Halwampa, Director General of the Zambia Development Agency (ZDA), includes Anthony Kabaghe, President of the Zambia Chamber of Commerce and Industry (ZACCI), as well as senior officials from Zambia’s public and private sectors.
