LOAB’s successful annual general meetings represent milestones for the LPG sector in Bangladesh

LPG Operators Association of Bangladesh (LOAB) concluded its fourth and fifth annual general meeting on June 23, 2024 at the Lakeshore Hotel in Dhaka, marking a significant milestone for the country’s LPG industry. Chaired by LOAB President Azam J. Chowdhury and supported by Omera Petroleum Limited, the meetings focused on key discussions aimed at raising industry standards and fostering closer collaboration with government and regulatory bodies.

During the meetings, President Azam J. Chowdhury highlighted the remarkable progress made by the LPG sector in Bangladesh in recent years. According to the press release, he stressed the need to maintain stringent safety protocols and optimize operational efficiency to meet the country’s growing energy demand.

“Our collective efforts have resulted in a more cohesive, efficient and sustainable LPG sector,” said Mr. Chowdhury. “We tirelessly advocate for policies that benefit our industry and promote best practices.”

The AGM provided a key platform for members to review achievements, address pressing challenges and outline strategic goals for the coming year. Discussions included a comprehensive review of progress, consideration of key industry issues and the formulation of forward-looking strategies.
