Stéphane Cardin to leave public policy role Netflix Canada » Playback

Stéphane Cardin, Netflix’s Canadian director of public policy (pictured left), is set to leave his position after almost six years.

Cardin, who was appointed to the position in 2018, will leave the streamer on July 5, a company spokesperson said Plays daily.

Ruchi Bhowmik (pictured right), vice president of public policy for the U.S. and Canada, will fill the position on an interim basis while the company searches for a new director of public policy for Canada.

Cardin joins Netflix from Canada Media Fund (CMF), where he worked for 12 years and was responsible for collaborating with industry and government stakeholders and leading the development of the funder’s policies and programs.

“I appreciate Stéphane’s keen knowledge of the industry and everything he has brought to Netflix Canada over the years. I wish him all the best in his next steps.”
