Some Shopify Inc. merchants will be able to present their products to more online buyers thanks to the e-commerce platform’s agreement with Target Corp.

The deal announced on Monday allows for a choice Shopify Inc. sellers to promote their products on Target Plus, the seller’s third-party, curated website market.

Target says the partnership will expand Target Plus to include an assortment of new and popular products and brands such as clothing retailers True Classic and Caden Lane. Target says it is the first mass retailer to partner with Shopify, which will see products from select retailers placed in Target stores in the coming months.

Selecting Shopify sellers to be listed on Target Plus is done through the Shopify Marketplace Connect app, a tool that allows sellers to apply to sell their products on online marketplaces such as Amazon.com Inc., Walmart, eBay Inc., Etsy, and Target Plus.

Target reports first quarter results with sales of approx digital channels accounted for 18.3% of total sales.
