MUNICH (AP) – Denmark will face Serbia on Tuesday in Munich in their final Group C match. Both teams hope it won’t be their last match at the European Championships. Denmark is currently second in the group, two points behind England and level on points with third-placed Slovenia. Serbia is last, but only one point behind Denmark and Slovenia. The match starts at 21:00 local time (19:00 GMT). Here’s what you need to know about the match:

— Denmark would advance to the round of 16 with a victory and would be eliminated if they lost, while Slovenia avoided defeat by England.

— If both matches end in a draw, Denmark and Slovenia will be split into second and third place on total goals scored, then disciplinary points and then European qualifying rankings. The first two ties are head-to-head and goal difference, but the result will remain the same.

— Serbia, which drew with Slovenia on Thursday to keep its hopes alive, will advance if it beats Denmark and Slovenia fails to beat England. In case of a draw, the team will be eliminated and Slovenia will avoid defeat.

— Different results could leave Serbia scrambling for a calculator and waiting anxiously to see if it can survive as one of the top four third-placed teams.

— Danish midfielder Thomas Delaney has recovered from the illness that ruled him out of the match against England.

— Serbia has no new injury problems, but winger Filip Kostic is sidelined after suffering a knee ligament injury in his team’s first match against England.

– There has never been a draw between the two teams. Each of them won five out of ten matches.

— However, four of Denmark’s five wins have come in their last four games, including a 3-0 win the last time Denmark played in March 2022.

— Christian Eriksen equaled Simon Kjaer in the Danish record of 132 caps. Kjaer, Denmark’s Euro 2020 captain, was an unused substitute against Slovenia and England as the defender returns to full fitness.

“I don’t like boring football. I really do not like. I want to see my team attacking and creating opportunities. I want to see Serbia with full determination.” — Serbia coach Dragan Stojkovic.

“They have great physical strength in attack. We need to minimize their chances of crossing and scoring too many set pieces. The idea is to spend a lot of time on the ball to eliminate their greatest advantages. — Denmark coach Kasper Hjulmand.
