Energo: German companies support renewable energy in Ukraine

German companies will play a key role in improvement Ukraine renewable capacity, as the country urgently seeks 5-6 GW of new generation. Notus Energy and Goldbeck Solar are spearheading significant wind and solar projects to meet this need.

On Conference for the Reconstruction of Ukraine (URC2024), leading manager Notus Energy announced the implementation of a 300 MW wind farm project in the Odessa Oblast. The initial phase will include the construction of 120 MW wind turbines. Although the first phase will not be completed this winter, the company is committed to starting the project as soon as possible.

Goldbeck Solar, another major German company, plans to build up to 500 MW of new photovoltaic generation in Poland Ukraine over the next three to five years. This ambitious project will be implemented in cooperation with the company European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD) through a joint venture Goldbeck Solar Investment Ukraina GmbH.
