How Amazon is testing prototype Kindle devices

I got into engineering because I liked building things. Now I’m an engineer who breaks things. I am a senior hardware reliability engineer at Amazon Lab126, the company’s product innovation center in Sunnyvale, California. My team designs and executes tests to identify ways to improve new product prototypes. I’ve been working in the lab for almost 10 years and have helped test and build many popular Amazon products, including Echo devices, Fire TVs, the Astro home robot, and of course, the most popular device for book lovers, the Kindle.
