Simple government and effective governance will be the guiding policy, says Prime Minister AP Naidu

Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu has reiterated his commitment to fight poverty in his home constituency Kuppam.

Stressing that the journey to a poverty-free state will begin from Kuppam, the Prime Minister emphasized the need for a well-coordinated approach to achieve the goal, adding that the guiding policy would be “simple governance and effective governance”.

Addressing a review meeting of officials held in Kuppam on June 26 (Wednesday), Mr. Naidu asked the officials to prepare an action plan for the holistic development of the region. He instructed the officials to align the proposals and initiatives with the government’s vision.

Mr. Naidu emphasized his government’s commitment to minimizing excessive government protocols and disruptions. He instructed ministers to end their meetings by 6 p.m. and urged officials to prioritize the response.

Referring to law and order, the Prime Minister expressed his dissatisfaction over the “politicization of law enforcement wings” during the previous YSR Congress Party (YSRCP) government. “Now the government will have zero tolerance towards criminal activity,” he said.

Listing out the challenges faced by Kuppam constituency, Mr. Naidu stressed on the need to provide clean drinking water and expeditious completion of Handri-Neeva Canal to ensure water supply under NTR Sujala Sravanthi Scheme. “The focus will be on implementing a sound agricultural policy and promoting dairy products, milk, silk and honey. The priority will be to attract the food processing industry to Kuppam and transform the region into an educational center, said the Prime Minister.
