ROCHELLE PARK, N.J., June 26, 2024 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) — ORBCOMM today announced the latest generation of its reefer container monitoring solution with the CT 3600, enabling a new era of intelligent reefer management for shipping lines, container leasing companies and more.

With reduced component requirements and installation support via iOS and Android apps, the latest generation of ORBCOMM’s reefer container monitoring solution has been streamlined to simplify the installation, deployment and management of reefer IoT applications. It includes the new CT 3600 cold storage monitoring device, which can be installed in significantly less time than the previous ORBCOMM solution and can be deployed quickly without sacrificing performance or coverage.

The CT 3600 is installed in and wired from the cold storage control cabinet without drilling to avoid potential damage to the container, reduce third-party installation costs, and prevent device theft or tampering. It has a long-lasting internal battery, wireless Bluetooth sensor support, works with refrigerated containers from all four major OEMs, and complies with DCSA interoperability standards.
