InnoPhase IoT Matter Wi-Fi solution supports device interoperability

The full-stack software development kit leverages FreeRTOS and provides edge-to-cloud software for custom IoT applications, with a GCC toolchain and an Eclipse-based IDE for software development. It also includes reference profiles for Matter applications for smart lighting and door locks, with support for Amazon’s AWS and Microsoft Azure platforms.

Additionally, a standalone Talaria TWO Evaluation Kit is available, along with reference designs connecting Talaria TWO modules to Nuvoton M251 and Nuvoton M2354 series hosts. The solution is scalable to other MCUs via the HAPI interface between Talaria TWO and the MCU hosts.

“Nuvoton is excited to partner with InnoPhase IoT to deliver Matter 1.2 solutions,” said Chad Wu, vice president of the Nuvoton Microcontroller Business Group. “The combination of Nuvoton’s highly secure NuMicro microcontrollers and microprocessors with Talaria TWO ultra-low power Wi-Fi/BLE InnoPhase IoT modules in the Matter reference design specifically accelerates time-to-market for smart home device customers, enabling rapid time-to-market.”

Wiren Perera, president and COO of InnoPhase IoT, added: “Achieving Matter 1.2 certification is a game-changer for secure device connectivity, ensuring smart home devices work together seamlessly. Our Talaria TWO delivers Wi-Fi at ultra-low power levels, equating to shorter-range technologies, unleashing truly limitless, secure IoT devices.

“Next, it was important to provide consumers with manufacturer- and ecosystem-agnostic interoperability. Matter 1.2’s scalable, certified functionality addresses this challenge across a wide range of smart home applications, from appliances to entertainment and comfort to tools and services.”
