So everything points to this that the next model in this series – Galaxy Z Fold 6 – will also be a very good phone.

So we have collected all the current leaks and rumors about the Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 6, which you can find below. These include information on a possible release date and price, as well as some rumors regarding specifications and features.

It is highly likely that the Galaxy Z Fold 6 will be unveiled at the next Samsung Galaxy Unpacked event, with the presentation now scheduled for July 10, with the event taking place in Paris.

However, you can already reserve further Galaxy Z devices in advance, although Samsung does not directly say what they will be. Pre-ordering gives you instant Samsung credit and the opportunity to save a good amount of money.

As for the price of the Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 6, one leak suggests it will cost $100 more than the Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 5, which puts it at a starting price in the US of $1,099.99, and if that’s the case we’ll likely see similar increases elsewhere .

For comparison, the Galaxy Z Fold 5 starts at $1,799.99 / £1,749 / AU$2,599, so it’s likely the Z Fold 6 will cost at least that much.

Having said all this, there is a chance that the Z Fold 6 will be cheaper as Samsung is reportedly considering using a cheaper method of creating bezels on the foldable screen.

Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 6: models

Before we move on to various leaks about the standard Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 6, it is worth noting that rumors about several other models have also circulated online.

These include the high-end Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 6 Ultra, the cheaper Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 6 FE, and the Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 6 Slim, which may be larger and thinner than the standard model, although it may also go by Ultra by another name.

Below, however, we focus on the Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 6 itself.

Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 6: Design and Display

Some improvements to the design and screen of the Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 6 are expected, but they probably won’t be dramatic changes. Samsung previously told us that the design team stuck with the relatively slim form factor of its predecessors because it felt it provided the best “usability, grip and portability.”

Leaked renders of the Galaxy Z Fold 6 from @OnLeaks (a leaker with great experience) show a similar design to the Galaxy Z Fold 5, but with a slightly boxier look. However, this is certainly not a drastic design change. According to the insider, the Z Fold 6 measures 153.5 x 132.5 x 6.1 mm when unfolded, making it slightly shorter and wider than the Z Fold 5.

This may factor in rumors of a different screen aspect ratio, but @OnLeaks claims the main screen will once again be 6.2 inches diagonally, rather than larger as previously predicted. The thickness is also expected to remain the same, so don’t count on a thinner phone this year.

The same tipster claims that the main display is again a 7.6-inch 120Hz display, albeit with a higher peak brightness of 2,600 nits. However, they have since added that the Z Fold 6 may weigh slightly less than its predecessor – 239 g.

We’ve heard similar claims elsewhere, with the massive Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 6 spec leak pointing to dimensions of 153.5 x 68.1 x 12.1mm when folded and 153.5 x 132.6 x 5.6mm when unfolded, weighing 239 gi 7.6-inch foldable Dynamic 1856 x 2160 AMOLED 2X screen with 1-120 Hz refresh rate. The same source also claims that the case’s display is 6.3 inches, with a resolution of 986 x 2376, with a refresh rate of 120 Hz.

This year, however, the protective screen may at least be more durable, as it is said to use Corning Gorilla Armor, just like the Samsung Galaxy S24 Ultra.

Elsewhere, we’ve heard that the Galaxy Z Fold 6’s protective screen may feature anti-reflective technology.

We’ve also seen photos of a dummy Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 6 that largely match the renders above, but show a visible crease in the screen. However, it is unclear whether this bend will be as large in the finished phone.

In addition, Samsung itself has stated that it is working to protect its foldable phones from dust. So this is a feature that may come to the Galaxy Z Fold 6, although the company has not committed to it.

Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 6: colors

Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 6 colors may include navy blue, silver shade, light pink, crafted black and white Ross Youngwhich further suggests that the black and white shades of the Crafted Galaxy Z Fold 6 may be available exclusively on Samsung.com.

The exact same color choice for the Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 6 has now been revealed by Evan Blass, although Blass only mentions “pink” and not “light pink”.

For comparison, the Galaxy Z Fold 5 was launched last year in Icy Blue, Phantom Black and Cream, in addition to Gray and Blue available exclusively on the Samsung store.

Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 6: cameras and battery

According to rumors, all cameras on the Galaxy Z Fold 6 will be the same as those on the Z Fold 5. This is a claim we have already heard from multiple sources where they say that the rear cameras, front cameras, and under-display cameras on the Z Fold 6 will be the same as on Z Fold 5.

For comparison, the Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 5 has a 50MP main camera, a 10MP telephoto camera with 3x optical zoom, and a 12MP ultra-wide angle camera, as well as a 10MP camera on the main screen and a 4MP camera under the display in the foldable screen. So some or all of them may remain the same on the Z Fold 6.

However, another source claims that Samsung is considering using the same camera in the Z Fold 6 as in the Galaxy S24 Ultra. They don’t say which of the S24 UItra cameras they’re referring to, but they’re probably talking about the 200MP sensor. We’ve also heard elsewhere that the Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 6 may have an improved under-display camera.

As for the battery, multiple sources point to a 4,600 mAh battery (compared to 4,400 mAh in the Z Fold 5), although another source disputes this, saying that the Galaxy Z Fold 6 will again have a 4,400 mAh battery and 25W charging.

Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 6: specifications and features

Regarding the specifications of the Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 6, we have heard from many sources that the Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 6 will have the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 chipset. However, this is not a surprise since the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 is also used in the Galaxy S24 line and is the successor Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 chipset used in Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 5.

It was previously said that the Exynos chipset could be used in certain regions, but this seems very unlikely as The Elec has clearly stated that Snapdragon will be used everywhere.

A Snapdragon chipset would make it extremely powerful, however, and we’d expect it to be joined by at least 12GB of RAM, which is what the Z Fold 5 has. Indeed, an early benchmark of the Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 6 features a Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 chipset, 12GB of RAM and Android 14.

The second Galaxy Z Fold 6 benchmark shows the same specifications, and the phone performs even better here than the Samsung Galaxy S24 Ultra.

Overall, the consensus among many tipsters is that the Galaxy Z Fold 6 will offer 12GB of RAM and 256GB, 512GB, and 1TB storage configurations.

On the software side, the Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 6 will likely support seamless Android updates as Samsung now offers the feature on the latest phone.

It may also have some new AI features, with one leak suggesting that you’ll be able to use AI to instantly turn scribbles and rough sketches into polished images on the Galaxy Z Fold 6. This is a very similar idea to the Image Wand feature that’s available part Apple intelligence.

Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 6: prospects

Judging by the rumors so far, the Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 6 looks like a minor upgrade over its admittedly excellent predecessor.

Samsung probably already has most of the foldable phone formula, so it doesn’t need to choose revolution over evolution. However, if the Galaxy Z Fold 6 receives a suite of Galaxy AI features, including several new ones that will allow you to take advantage of the additional screen space offered by the foldable phone, the sixth Galaxy Fold could be more intriguing than its specifications suggest.
