Salesforce meeting, Nike profits, presidency debate: what to pay attention to

Salesforce’s (CRM) annual shareholder meeting will be held on Thursday. The agenda includes the election of new management board members. There will be multiple earnings reports coming out from companies like Nike (NKE), McCormick (MKC), and Walgreens (WBA).

The U.S. Department of Labor will release preliminary jobless claims data for the week of June 22. Current estimates are 235,000 compared to 238,000 in May. The first presidential debate of 2024 between Joe Biden and Donald Trump will take place on CNN at 9 p.m. ET.

What to watch on Wednesday.

On June 27, sales representatives gather for the annual shareholder meeting, where they vote on executive plans and elect board members.

Investors will be listening closely for clues from the company that concerns about slowing growth and potential opportunities for artificial intelligence will also receive another dose of gains tomorrow evening.

Cormick Walgreens and P star will report nino earnings after the close, the company had a better-than-expected third quarter.

Analysts expect the results to spur product innovation and increase sales.

We’ll also have Mccormick CEO Brandon Foley on Yahoo Finance tomorrow at 4 p.m. ET, and new jobless claims data will be released as analysts predict a slight decline in the number of people who filed for benefits for the first time last week for the unemployed.

Finally, the first presidential debate will be tomorrow and the future of our tax code will be in the spotlight, with President Biden advocating for a higher corporate tax rate of 28%.
