ClassOne technology delivers the first Solstice® S4

KALISPELL, Mont., June 27, 2024 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) — ClassOne Technology, a leading global supplier of advanced electroplating and wet machining tools for microelectronics manufacturing, today announced that it has delivered the first of two Solstice® S4 single wafer processing systems ordered by Analog Devices, Inc. (Nasdaq: ADI) to its facility in Beaverton, Oregon. The four-chamber ClassOne Solstice system delivers improved performance of ADI’s innovative analog/mixed and digital signal processing (DSP) ICs.

Built on ClassOne’s state-of-the-art, high-performance Solstice platform, the four-chamber Solstice S4 features a ClassOne GoldPro™ reactor, designed specifically to optimize Solstice gold plating technology. The combination of high coating speed and excellent uniformity – typically ≤3% crossplate – is designed to provide exceptional uniformity of device features. This is crucial for optimizing performance, especially for power and automotive devices that have stringent safety and functionality requirements.

“As we work closely with our customers to drive innovation, our manufacturing processes and equipment must continue to set the standard for what is possible,” said Daniel Burlingame, ADI managing director of manufacturing operations and general manager of the Beaverton plant. “Moreover, our commitment to modernize our manufacturing facilities requires the rapid integration of cutting-edge technologies from reliable OEMs. This is exactly why we chose ClassOne’s Solstice system for our decking requirements.”

ClassOne Technology CEO Byron Exarcos stated: “As one of the industry’s leading processor manufacturers, ADI brings to market products that are essential to the automotive and other industries while meeting stringent performance requirements. We look forward to working with ADI to help optimize the development and time to market of their devices.”
