After a hugely successful launch in 2023, CDO Travel & Hospitality Exchange returns for a second year on September 11-12, 2024 at Hilton Syon Park, London. Bringing together senior data leaders from around the world of travel and hospitality for two days of learning, discussion and networking, participants will gain unique insights into leveraging data to achieve operational excellence, build world-class data teams and improve customer experiences through the effective use of data.

The multitude of systems and vendors that are integral to the operation of the travel and hospitality industry creates its own set of data organization and management challenges, and many data leaders feel they are not maximizing the potential of their organization’s data. Combined with the introduction of new regulations and the pressure to keep pace with ever-changing customer expectations, the role of data leadership in tourism and hospitality organizations is becoming increasingly demanding.

The CDO Travel & Hospitality Exchange agenda is designed to address the complexities of implementing effective data strategies, helping travel and hospitality companies thrive in today’s data-driven world. With the presence of 70 selected data leaders from the travel and hospitality industry and a variety of unique activity formats, including industry roundtables, plenary presentations and one-on-one meetings with solution providers, the Exchange format provides a tailored, unique platform to explore new solutions to the real challenges they face data leaders in this sector.

The world-class lecturers include thought leaders from some of the most recognizable brands in the travel and hospitality industry, including Hirra Sulanki, Group Director of Digital Analytics and Optimization at TUI, Gillian Cossey, Global Data Protection Officer at Virgin Atlantic and Nick Beresford, Director for data and analytics at Heathrow Airport. Participants will leave with the expert knowledge and actionable insights needed to drive data-driven change in their organizations.

Other highlights include a presentation on “The Constant Battle Between Modernization and Legacy Systems” by Philip Cotton, Director of Customers, Trends and Commerce at On the Beach. The closing panel discussion on “Navigating the Path to Data Maturity,” featuring notably Andrea Ferrari, Director of Planning and Forecasting at Silversea Cruises, also promises to be an enriching discussion that will allow attendees to visualize the optimal data architecture, team structure, and strategies necessary for their organization to succeed.
