Charlie Methven appointed CEO as Global Football Partners makes structural changes – South London News

Charlton Athletic have confirmed that Charlie Methven will become their new chief executive as part of a series of changes introduced by the club’s owners Global Football Partners.

Jim Rodwell, managing director and chairman of the board, will be responsible for football operations at the League One club’s Sparrows Lane training ground.

Charlton issued a statement on the meetings with Methven, who is “responsible for the development of the football club off the pitch and who will oversee the day-to-day running of the club at The Valley”. His appointment is subject to EFL approval.

Technical director Andy Scott will no longer be a member of the board and will report to Rodwell.

Paul Elliott, already a member of the board, has been appointed vice-chairman.

Methven, Rodwell and Gavin Carter, all board members, will be taking questions during tonight’s online fan meeting, which starts at 7pm.

The event will be broadcast live on Charlton TV and on the club’s YouTube channel.
