New gadgets always seem a little odd when you first see them, no matter how useful they end up being. Just a few years ago, pulling a smartphone out of your pocket probably elicited a few quizzical glances. Nothing could be more mundane now, as phones have become the de facto tool for everything from keeping in touch with friends to hailing a taxi.
