Patna University: Patna University Releases Admission Schedule

Patna: Patna University (PU) on Thursday announced the schedule for online recruitment of students for postgraduate studies under self-financing scheme for the academic year 2024-25. Candidates wishing to get admission in these courses, including the much-awaited LLB, LLM, MEd and Library Science courses, can submit their applications on the admission portal from June 28 to July 18. Giving details of admission to postgraduate courses under self-financed schemes, PU Dean of Student Welfare Anil Kumar said that the application fee for these courses is Rs 1,100. “Admissions to all these courses will be made based on the merit list prepared by the university through an entrance test,” he said. However, in those self-financed courses for which the total number of applications received is less than 150% of the approved seats, there will be no entry test. “Candidates for these courses will be accepted based on their bachelor’s grades and a personal interview,” the dean said. The self-financed PG courses for which the university will invite online applications include two-year (four semester) bachelor’s degree programs in rural studies, business administration, biochemistry, biotechnology, environmental sciences, social work, computer applications, women’s studies, music and journalism and mass communication; one-year diploma programs in clinical psychology, human resource development, industrial safety management, computer applications, women’s and child welfare, women’s studies and yogic sciences; and one-year academic programs at the Bachelor of Science in Library and Information Science and Master of Science in Library and Information Science levels. “The admission process for conventional MA, MSc and MCom courses in the university in the current session has already started. The last date for submitting online applications for admission to these courses is July 15,” Kumar said.
