ITC exceeds 2030 renewable energy target in 2023-24

ITC Limited has announced that it will exceed its 2030 renewable energy target in the 2023-24 financial year, seven years ahead of schedule. More than 50 percent of the company’s total energy needs are now met from renewable sources, marking a significant step forward on the path to sustainability.

“This achievement demonstrates our unwavering commitment to sustainability and our vision for a low-carbon future,” an ITC spokesperson said. “We have made significant progress in reducing our environmental footprint across our businesses and are proud to be leading the green building movement.”

ITC has made significant investments in renewable energy sources, including biomass, wind and solar. It has also taken a number of energy-saving steps, such as installing energy-efficient lighting and equipment.

“We intend to obtain 100 percent of the electricity we purchase from the grid from renewable sources by 2030,” the spokesman said. “We believe it is good for both the environment and business.”

In addition to its renewable energy efforts, ITC has made significant progress in reducing greenhouse gas emissions and water consumption.

“We are committed to being responsible corporate citizens and making a positive impact on society,” the spokesperson said. “We believe that sustainability is key to long-term business success.”
